Love the Gladiator...could have a few more bells
By vtroger | on Wednesday, January 15, 2020
I leased this truck (yes, I'm calling it a truck) and it is amazing. I splurged for the Rubicon and I'm glad I did. It's a great Jeep. Suspension, comfort, power, everything is amazing. As a top of the line Jeep, I would think it would have a few more bells and whistles. Rear heated seats, Heated and cooling seats, etc.… - 5.0
Awesome Truck for Jeep folks
By Cal328Â |Â on Saturday, July 25, 2020
Full disclosure I came from a 2006 2 Door Jeep Wrangler with roll up windows and manual locks so even a bare bone Gladiator would have been a huge upgrade for me. I also own a Toyota 4Runner Limited and was cross shopping the Gladiator With a Tundra, yes Tundra not Tacoma. The Taco was basically the same size interior (slightly smaller) than our 4Runner so I saw no point in buying that. As far as it being a true Jeep, it exceeded my expectations. As far as it being a true pickup truck, being I have never owned one this also exceeded my expectations. I can do and move things that I never had the ability to do before. If you are coming from a full size truck you may be disappointed but honestly how many people really use their full size pickups to their full potential, my guess is a midsize would suffice the majority. Fit and finish is really nice, I wouldn’t say it’s nicer than my 4Runner Limited but that’s bc I bought the Sport S and not the Overland. If you Spring for the leather you get a much nicer interior, I just didn’t see the need since the top will be coming off and it most likely will be getting wet. Hard plastics are just hard, not much soft touch around other than knobs. Leather steering wheel is super nice, heated steering wheel is a scorcher as are the seats. Compared to my 2006 this thing rides like a Mercedes, it’s unbelievable how smooth this truck is. No issues thus far but I’m only 5600 miles in after 11 month (Covid related). It’s been fun to accessorize and no shortage of aftermarket parts. I truly think anyone with a 4 door Wrangler should give this a drive, IMO it’s a big upgrade in comfort while not losing much off-road ability. If your coming from another pickup, then give it a drive with the top off, pretty sure you’ll have fun.…
